The Expertise Behind the Work
Tania Kadakia is a nationally respected expert in affordable housing, community development, and real estate finance.
Her decades of experience span development firms, institutional lending, equity investing, credit and risk management, and municipal programs—giving her uncommon insight into the full ecosystem of development.
Her leadership has shaped transformative projects including:
- Foundational experience in financial institutions including National Equity Fund, Enterprise Community Investments, and BMO Harris Bank.
- Winning the Invest South/West RFP for 79th & Exchange and securing a 9% LIHTC award.
- Originating and structuring more than $850 million in LIHTC, NMTC, and community-development transactions across the country.
- Creating new development divisions, sponsor risk management programs, and organizational systems that strengthen institutions from within.
- Serving as a Chicago Plan Commissioner, advising on the city’s most significant development proposals.
